As a wife, mother, medical professional, and independent business owner (IBO), I have learned the importance of repositioning myself – shifting from the things that stifle my growth, fueling passion to progress despite the odds, and showing up for others when they are in need.
As a Cuban trained dentist, the journey to success wasn’t the smoothest but was worthwhile and I can truly say it helped mold me into who I am today. The challenges I experienced fostered a greater sense of humility, compassion, and gratitude towards others and life itself. Hardships forced me to build character and in those moments, I found out who I truly was. Though limited, Cubans adjust to the fluidity of life by being resilient and finding creative ways to make themselves comfortable. This became a lifelong lesson for me and helped me to appreciate the friendships and memories made along my journey. One of the greatest lessons I learned was this:

_________________________________________________________________

Never allow someone else’s opinion to solely determine the decisions you make for YOUR life because these decisions will ultimately determine the outcome of YOUR life.
_________________________________________________________________

In the story of the giraffe and the turtle from his book ‘Instinct’, T.D. Jakes said, “We eat on the level of our vision.” Although the giraffe and turtle both occupy the same space they don’t share the same worldview. The giraffe has a larger panoramic view of its surroundings compared to the turtle. “You can’t explain a giraffe’s decision to a turtle because a turtle’s perspective is based on its level of vision. Likewise, by lowering its perspective the giraffe endangers its position.
Many persons are afraid to try due to fear of failure and the unknown. I used to be like that too however my recent exposures to personal growth training and mentorship, gave me a complete paradigm shift. I have been enlightened that it is okay to ‘fail’ and not feel unworthy. If you are not failing, you are not learning hence growing. Most if not all of the persons who are successful today failed their way to success because they focused on their goals, not the obstacles, and simply did not quit. Remember that ‘failing’ is not fatal and it is your courage to continue trying that counts.
For those who have found success, please note that there is a greater need for mentorship of blossoming professionals. I realize that our young people are not adequately exposed to the culture of celebrating others within a positive environment. We have to be intentional ALL the time about our growth and one way to do so is by aligning with people who have the results we want, good energy, and vibrate on your same level of frequency to reach your maximum potential.
My passion for helping a wider span of people outside of my career was reignited by the profound mentorship I received from being part of our world’s leading trading company IM Mastery Academy which not only teaches the skill of trading but personal development, goal setting, investor mindset and so much more than I expected. I decided to be an IBO because I felt a greater need to impact as many lives as I can using this platform as the vehicle to financial freedom.
I feel the urge to show up for others because I believe in the mantra that your actions have a bigger impact than you may realize so ‘always be kind’. You may be familiar with the saying that “People may not remember what you said or did but how you made them feel.” Why not leave them with something positive? By repositioning yourself, you may just become the velocity that someone else needs to jumpstart their journey. That’s what I did.
Don’t get too comfortable with being just ‘average’! Your comfort zone is where your dreams go to die. Try to keep learning and growing – you deserve a life of abundance! Even when it seems like your progress is delayed, remember that God will not deny what was meant for you. Stay inspired!
